The purpose of the meeting was to establish a final program for the seminar on structural core logging on October 4. We have received confirmation from all presenters apart from Bp on their Valhall core. Also 7 companies have agreed to sponsor the social event in the evening with 5000 NOK each :

Endavour, ConocoPhillips, Eon-Ruhrgas, DNO, Altinex, Dong, Shell and Statoil.

The core viewing sessions will take place after lunch and the discussion was whether to keep it all in the core display rooms or to move these sessions to smaller meeting rooms. It was decided to reserve meeting rooms if we have more than 50 participants. Then the cores could be laid out smaller rooms and we could have 5 groups and better working conditions for the presenters. The organizing committee will be represented on each  team and capture the issues that arise during the core sessions. Logistics will also be simpler if it is possible to keep the core viewing to the meeting rooms (restricted access zone at the NPD). If we have less than 50 participants, we keep it in the core store.

 

An e-mail will be sent to all presenters asking for abstracts and core interval for the core presenters. We will also ask their permission to post their presentations and abstracts in pdf-format on the FORCE web.
