Early info and Call
for ”Paper” – FORCE/AWTC seminar 21-22 April 2004
Home
Please find enclosed a preliminary outline/content for the next FORCE/AWTC
seminar to be arranged in Stavanger 21-22 April 2004. This will be the 4th AWTC
seminar with the objective to be a key forum (arena) for experience transfer and
technology status/plans within the area of advanced/smart wells on the NCS (and
North Sea area). This two day seminar will include an evening dinner to allow
for socialising and networking.
The seminar is currently in it’s maturing phase, and we would very much
appreciate your potential contribution to this important event. No “Papers” are
required, but at the end of the seminar a copy of the 20-25 minute presentation
material (or Abstract) is planned to be provided to the FORCE members (through
our web-site).
The title of the 2004 AWTC seminar is; Advanced Wells – Lessons Learned and
Future Directions/Opportunities”. A key objective of this seminar is to ensure a
common “perception” on the status and value adding potential for advanced and/or
smart wells. This includes both planning and decision processes and
application/field examples. In addition, the tool technology status and
experience will be thoroughly discussed.
“Part 2” of the seminar will focus on future opportunities, both with respect to
field development and reservoir requirement and to development and maturing of
new technology required to recover the continuously difficult resources.
Implicit in this is further HSE focus and requirements and the importance of
“arena co-operation” to reach our common goals.
We hope for your positive response by 28th of November. The target is to have
the final seminar program defined by early January 2004, with presentation
submittal to the seminar committee by early March 2004.
Please send your response directly to Tom
Tinholt, with a copy to Gro Galta
Yours sincerely
Arild Haugen project leader FORCE
on behalf of
Tom Tinholt
